The Kennet-canal always was quite attractive to the German pupils.

August 2006 saw the 25th anniversary of The Tutti Pole, a delightful traditional tea shop and restaurant on Hungerford's High Street

standing on the bridge or visiting "The Tutti Pole" made one think
of the pop song:

"View From the Bridge"
