As English is WHG´s (a Secondary School in Heide/Schleswig-Holstein ) first foreign language, back in 1984 we tried to find an English exchange partner. The main aim was to increase pupils´ motivation as regards Language learning by letting them know more about the British. Also, of course both JOGS-Hungerford and WHG-Heide were interested in finding partners who use English or German without too strong an accent! That’s exactly what JOG staff and WHG staff did find.
